Americans in Europe Given Warning

On October 3rd the United States government issued a warning to Americans traveling to Europe due to a concern that al Qaeda and other terrorist groups are planning an attack. American troops stationed in Germany have been given special orders to be on alert due to this concern. The American government’s warning is not for people to avoid travel to Europe, but rather to take extra precautions when traveling. According to the Obama Administration, the American and European governments are currently communicating on how to handle the situation.
- The American government wants people to take the following precautions: Be aware of unattended packages and strange noises, and to be aware of there surroundings especially in large public places and on public transportation.
