The Getty Center and Getty Villa are popular sites of high culture in Los Angeles. The Getty Center is currently having a special exhibition ending on January 3rd. The Art of Ancient Greek Theater is an international loan exhibition exploring Greek plays and stagecraft. The types of works on display are the only material evidence for ancient Greek performing art. Sculptures, vases, and rare papyrus will be on display. The exhibit will explore the way Greek drama was interpreted by ancient Greek artists.
Times are as follows and the event is free of cost.
Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 10am -5pm.
Directions form LMU’s front gate:
Turn right onto Lincoln Blvd.
Right onto Jefferson
Get on the 405 North
Exit the 405 at Getty Center Dr.
Follow the signs at the freeway exit for parking directions.
